This state-of-the-art weatherproof outdoor wireless IP camera works with your wireless router to broadcast and record video over your local area network or the internet. Video may be recorded when motion is detected or according to a specified schedule. When motion is detected, the camera will record video to the hard drive and upload images to an email address or FTP site. This IP camera with 25 meters range night imagination capability employs a 1/4″ CMOS effigy sensor. It may be mounted on the wall outside and may be controlled remotely. With built-in video encoder module and web server, users may view live images and full motion video through a ordinary Web browser. This device combines a network camera and a computer into one small, intellectual unit. Installation is easy by using the configuration software to assign an IP address to your camera or obtain an address mechanically through a DHCP server (typically a router). It is a fully- featured internet-enabled surveillance system that provides password protected multi-level user management.

works, but you’d better be able to go it alone

I use a Mac. The documentation for this camera is just about non-existant and what does exist assumes you are running Windows.

Good Camera For the Money

Although I have no experience with other IP cameras, this one does exactly what I want. It does not require a computer beyond initial setup. The camera has a built in web server that is easy to access and configure. The picture quality is adequate. The night vision is great. During the day, the colors will appear to be off, but this is due to the sensor’s sensitivity to infra red light for night. Overall, I think this is a good camera, and will buy a couple more.
