When high school students make a decision to attend college, they must begin planning before their freshman year in high school. The best way to get started is to fabricate a four year academic plan. This plan will have to include what kind of courses will be best suitable for college preparation. The students ought to make sure to talk with a high school counselor to see what courses are offered.
When manufacturing a high school plan, the students will have to take into considerateness the courses required for graduation as well as courses necessitated to prepare for their career. In addition to the kind of courses needed, the students must develop a heap of academic goals to try and achieve. The student might have a goal such as: earning 3.0 GPA for freshman year.
In order to take courses that will prepare a student for college, the curriculum will have to have college prep classes. The student could follow this basic four year plan of work:
4 years of English
4 years of science
4 years of social studies
4 years of mathematics
2 years of alien language
1 year of computer class
1 test preparation class
1 year of physical education
The students may take further and added courses to heighten preparation.
In addition to the courses, the students need to commence preparation for the standardized test that will be required for college. Students will have to commence taking standardized tests in the ninth grade in order to become conscious of what their academic intensities and weaknesses are. By starting early, students will have a great deal of time to improve any academic deficiencies. The standardized test most widely used is the ACT test. All students ought to take some kind of test prep class before taking the official ACT test. This may improve students’ test scores by two to three points.
The students who are making academic plans for college starting in the ninth grade are preparing for a successful high school and college career.

Great value By B. Dawson I purchased this set for Christmas along with a new family microscope. I am very pleased with the quality of this set. The cases are constructed well with brass hinges and latches and hold 100 samples each for a total of 200. The slots are numbered and each slide is numbered and labeled so you know exactly what each slide is and where it belongs. We haven’t had a chance to look at all the slides yet since we look at each under three different magnifications and we take turns panning all around the slides using the mechanical stage.
My 9 year old son is very interested in these slides and he really enjoys placing the eyepiece pointer on a particular point and then ask me to look at something neat he discovered within the sample. We’ve only looked at a handful of slides but I feel like I got a great deal in this set. Especially compared to small sets packed in cardboard that cost over $1.50 for EACH slide!
