Part of the Bushnell Trophy riflescope series, this 1×28 scope (model 73-0135) is a great choice for hunting in all conditions. The multi-coated, high-contrast Amber-Bright optics provide increased luminance for low-light hunting at dawn or dusk and may aid speedily distinguish among a brown tree and a brown critter. It displays a green dot for low light and red dot for bright light. Other features include four dial-in reticles, 100 percent waterproof/fogproof/shockproof construction, and arid nitrogen fill.

Excellent Red/Green Dot Scope

This Bushnell Trophy 1×28 Red/Green Dot Scope (currently at under $90 10/8/2010) is well made and a bargain compared with other offerings. I am using this scope on my Ruger Mini-14 with excellent results.

PS. I did ditch the supplied rings and bought Ruger mounts, which are necessary w.r.t. Ruger. NOTE: This scope requires 30mm rings. The Ruger rings that come with the mini-14 are for 1″ scopes. Supurb Sight

I got this sight to go on top of my 12-gauge shotgun and it works extremely well. I like the ease of switching from one reticle to another and the power switch for brightness really helps in varying lighting scenarios. The red/green capacity also helps in this area. The sight arrived promptly and in good condition. Overall, I was very happy with this system.

Good value for the money

This is a good quality holographic site at a reasonable price. I have two of this type and one older red-only unit. All have performed well. I only have two minor issues with this sight. First, the rings that came with mine were a pain to use. They were the older style vertical split rings, not the horizontal slit shown here. These take a little experience and some locktite to get installed properly. My other complaint is that the reticle is not as sharp as some other sites I have used. It is a little fuzzy, almost like it is out of focus. But for the money, this is a great value. It holds zero and the batteries seem to last quite well.
